The God Delusion caused a sensation when it was published in 2006. Within weeks it became the most hotly debated topic, with Dawkins himself branded as either saint or sinner for presenting his hard-hitting, impassioned rebuttal of religion of all types. His argument could hardly be more topical. While Europe is becoming increasingly secularized, the rise of religious fundamentalism, whether in the Middle East or Middle America, is dramatically and dangerously dividing opinion around the world. In America, and elsewhere, a vigorous dispute between 'intelligent design' and Darwinism is seriously undermining and restricting the teaching of science. In many countries religious dogma from medieval times still serves to abuse basic human rights such as women's and gay rights. And all from a belief in a God whose existence lacks evidence of any kind. Dawkins attacks God in all his forms. He eviscerates the major arguments for religion and demonstrates the supreme improbability of a supreme being. He shows how religion fuels war, foments bigotry and abuses children. The God Delusion is a brilliantly argued, fascinating polemic that will be required reading for anyone interested in this most emotional and important subject.
A preeminent scientist—and the world's most prominent atheist—asserts the irrationality of belief in God and the grievous harm religion has inflicted on society, from the Crusades to 9/11. With rigor and wit, Dawkins examines God in all his forms, from the sex-obsessed tyrant of the Old Testament to the more benign (but still illogical) Celestial Watchmaker favored by some Enlightenment thinkers. He eviscerates the major arguments for religion and demonstrates the supreme improbability of a supreme being. He shows how religion fuels war, foments bigotry, and abuses children, buttressing his points with historical and contemporary evidence. The God Delusion makes a compelling case that belief in God is not just wrong but potentially deadly. It also offers exhilarating insight into the advantages of atheism to the individual and society, not the least of which is a clearer, truer appreciation of the universe's wonders than any faith could ever muster.
David Reuben Stone presents a modern defense of the existence of God. Two new arguments are presented: The Argument From The Laws Of Physics, and the Fine-Tuning Argument. The atheism of Richard Dawkins is refuted in great detail, as well as writings of the following atheistic authors: Quentin Smith, Michael Martin, William Rowe, Victor Stenger, Theodore Drange, J.L. Schellenberg, Nicholas Everitt, Michael Ikeda, Bill Jefferys, Theodore Schick Jr., Wesley C. Salmon, Walter Sinnott-Armstrong, Victor Cosculluela, Thomas Metcalf, and Bruce and Frances Martin. The defenses of atheism by these leading thinkers now stand thoroughly critiqued and in need of substantial revision. A must read for anyone interested in the existence of God. The defense of Hugh Ross's fine-tuning arguments against objections raised by Ikeda and Jefferys is, alone, worth the price of this book! Richard Dawkins' God Delusion is not only a fascinating battle with the book written by the famous British atheist. It is a clash of two epochs - the old atheistic school of the XIX and XX centuries, full, as it turns out, of an irrational chaos of assertions, contradictions and intolerance - with the modern Christianity of XXI century, focused on the accuracy, consistency and objectivity of the presented position. It is a confrontation of two different worldviews, philosophical and biological, in a dispute about the value system based on modern scientific achievements of man. There are also other works by dr Paweł Bloch: Ateistoteles and The Great Dictator, yet still in preparation.

Richard Dawkins, biologist and best-selling author, claims that belief in God is a "delusion" and that "religion" harms society. Dawkins contends that he has reason and evidence on his side, and he dismisses faith as unfounded, even irrational. Dominican Thomas Crean tackles Dawkins' claims head-on. He presents straightforward arguments for God's existence, and he uses reason and evidence to defend such things as miracles and the authority of the Bible. He also shows how God is important for a coherent understanding of morality, and why Dawkins' approach winds up reducing morality to the individual's subjective likes and dislikes. By demonstrating how Dawkins' criticisms rest on misunderstandings, superficial readings, poor argumentation, a lack of historical awareness, and not a little prejudice, Crean reveals Dawkins to be out of his philosophical and theological depth, and his case against God to be fundamentally flawed.
The concept of evolution is widely considered to be a foundational building block in atheist thought. Leaders of the New Atheist movement have taken Darwin's work and used it to diminish the authority of religious institutions and belief systems. But they have also embraced it as a metaphor for the gradual replacement of religious faith with secular reason. They have posed as harbingers of human progress, claiming the moral high ground, and rejecting with intolerance any message that challenges the hegemony of science and reason. Religion, according to the New Atheists, should be relegated to the Dark Ages of superstition and senseless violence. Yet Darwin did not see evolution as a linear progression to an improved state of being. The more antagonistic members of the New Atheist movement who embrace this idea are not only employing bad history, but also the kind of rigid, black-and-white thinking they excoriate in their religious opponents. Indeed, Stephen LeDrew argues, militant atheists have more in common with religious fundamentalists than they would care to admit, advancing what LeDrew calls secular fundamentalism. In reaction to fundamentalist Christianity and Islamism, this strain of atheism has become an offshoot of the religion it tries so hard to malign. The Evolution of Atheism outlines the essential political tension at the heart of the atheist movement. The New Atheism, LeDrew shows, is part of a tradition of atheist thought and activism that promotes individualism and scientific authority, which puts it at odds with atheist groups that are motivated by humanistic ethics and social justice. LeDrew draws on public relations campaigns, publications, podcasts, and in-depth interviews to explore the belief systems, internal logics, and self-contradictions of the people who consider themselves to be atheists. He argues that evolving understandings of what atheism means, and how it should be put into action, are threatening to irrevocably fragment the movement.
The book is a logical Bible study and in-depth examination of Race, Sex, Power, Politics and War. The Author addresses the false doctrine and propaganda that has been fronted for centuries, by Christianity and Judaism, as to their supremacy above other religions and races. He also examines the role these two religions have played in promoting these false doctrines, which literally contradict, the written laws of the Bible. The book further looks at Islam where the Author acknowledges the origin and foundation of its original teachings, as is likened by God's Commandments and as written in the Holy Bible and Holy Qur'an. The Author takes a scalpel to dissect race and religion to its core. The Author separates the gentile dogma of Christianity and Judaism and highlights their contradiction to the Laws of God. Lastly, he dwells on separation of races based on their individual religious philosophies, concluding in the introduction of Lucifer as a Chief Architect of Gentile religious doctrine and practices. Lucifer's mission is to maintain the delusion of the white God and its false power to rule over Black and Semite people. Quotes from Author: I am challenging the world's Christian religious believers, communities and the general masses to follow the true laws of God. They should stop falling prey to the False Luciferian Doctrine and the delusion of White God. I affirm to the world that, I am a true servant of God who is challenging all religious ministers to debate evidence and facts, referred to in this book through the lesson chapters, so that they may distinguish the truth from the lie. I challenge them to debate about the alleged religious authorities in reference to the Christian and Jewish faith, in order to determine, if truly, their religious practices is of the God of Heaven and Earth. I challenge all ministers to prove that they follow and believe in the commandments, Laws and Statues of God as written in the scriptures. I further challenge all of them to debate the true ethnology and race of God's chosen people; his first family being the black and Semite (Hebrews), who are identified by their skin pigmentation and coloration; and their true religion to be Abrahamic. This would also prove that True' Israelites are cousins to the Ishmaelite's. In addition, I challenge all ministers of Jewish Authority, to a debate, as to the true ethnology of True' Hebrews of the Land of Palestine and Canaan. It is worth noting that the true Hebrews were removed from the Holy land, and thereafter cursed by God and Scattered unto Gentile nations in all four corners of the earth. And shall remain there, until the second coming of Jesus; as was prophesied in his Revelation war against the Christian, Jewish Armies of Gog (Europe) and Magog (America, Israel), and as foretold in the book of Revelations. I challenge them to deny that it has been 2000 years of Christian Propaganda Crusade by the gentiles and gentile Jews, and Theologians, Philosophers and Historians, to hide the true identity of the true Israelites. Their mission has been to remove parts of, and alter the Holy Scriptures, thereby changing the Laws of God. Their intention is to make everyone follow Luciferian Doctrine. Because of this, God gave Revelation unto Jesus Christ, to bring forth the final Armageddon to all who changed His Laws. This led to his prophecy against the Christians (Nicolaitans) and Jewish doctrine (religion), which He hated, for they are the synagogue (disciples) of Satan.
Alister McGrath and Joanna Collicutt McGrath present a reliable assessment of The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, famed atheist and scientist, and the many questions this book raises--including, above all, the relevance of faith and the quest for meaning.
What is the so-called New Atheism? The first decade of the twenty-first century has witnessed a cluster of authors who have attained public notoriety through their mockery of religion and their popularizing of atheism. How should Christians and other believers understand and respond to this aggressive attack on their faith? In this collection of sermons, leading academic theologians and philosophers who have written about the New Atheists seek to sum up their thinking and help us make sense of this contemporary phenomenon--and offer a richer and more sophisticated account of what belief in God is really about.
